THE MATERIAL SELECTION

Texture, drape and possibility.

Explore existing silk and cashmere references alongside new cotton and wool sourcing directions. Begin with a material, or the garment you have in mind.

Existing references show declared silk and cashmere material information. Sourcing directions introduce cotton and wool fabric families for your brief; specifications and samples remain to be confirmed.

Specifications and sample availability require confirmation. Cotton and wool images are AI-generated collection illustrations, not approved samples or available colours.

NOTES FROM THE MATERIAL LIBRARY

A more informed material brief.

19 or 40 momme silk?

The existing 19 momme reference is the lighter starting point; the 40 momme satin is more substantial. Compare drape, opacity and usable width in your proposed silhouette. Weight alone does not determine the final result.

A clean or luminous cotton?

Begin with the surface: a poplin direction for a crisp woven look, or sateen for a smoother, more luminous expression. Define the yarn quality and finish, then compare actual samples.

Build a cotton brief ↗

Wool or cashmere coating?

Choose with the whole garment in mind. Review construction, fabric mass, handle and surface wear alongside fibre composition. A physical sample helps your team assess the material for its intended use.

Explore wool directions ↗
What do I need to include in a material brief?

Share the garment application, desired handle, fibre composition, colour, target mass in g/m² and usable width in cm. Include your target quantity, destination and any testing or care requirements.

Are cotton and wool samples already available?

The cotton and wool pages are sourcing directions. We first review your specification and sourcing feasibility, then confirm candidate fabrics and sample availability. The series images are AI-generated illustrations and do not show approved samples.

Can I compare colours and handle from the images?

Images are a starting point. Review colour, opacity, handle and surface against a physical sample under appropriate light. Existing silk and cashmere photographs and illustrative collection images are labelled separately.

Can you provide composition or origin documentation?

Tell us what your brand needs. Composition, origin, certification and performance claims must be supported for the selected fabric. No certification or origin is assumed from a material family name.

Your enquiry, in your hands.

Your selected material references and target quantities are saved in this browser so you can return to them. They do not sync between devices. You can remove individual materials or clear your enquiry.

Company, name, email and message fields remain in the current page and are not saved by this site. Preparing an enquiry creates an email draft for you to send using your own email service.

Clearing browser data removes saved materials. The cover scene and cotton and wool collection images are AI-generated illustrations. Existing silk and cashmere material photographs are labelled separately. Colours, handle and specifications require a physical sample review.
